The Importance of Lab Testing
Labs tell the story of your body, and they are the most powerful tool your provider has to make personalized treatment decisions for you. Your labs, coupled with your health history and personal goals, provide a current and full picture of your overall health and wellbeing. Our lab markers measure everything from your hormone levels to your metabolic function so that our providers can prescribe the right treatments for you.
Follow-up labs are a critical part of your overall care. Your initial labs provide a current and comprehensive picture of your overall health. After you begin treatment, your provider will often require follow-up labs to assess how well your treatments are working and to make changes to your medications and/or their dosages.
Yes! Your dedicated care coordinator will take the time to explain every marker and lab result with you. They will help you understand your health deeply, and answer any questions about your results. Your Evolve doctor will also be there to answer your questions and help you determine your best course of action for any high or low markers.
Our comprehensive labs are different from the labs that your primary care provider usually prescribes. Our lab markers specifically measure everything from your hormone levels to your metabolic function so that our providers can prescribe the right treatments for you, while the labs that your primary care provider prescribes measure your general overall health.
Most of the time, your primary insurance will not cover the cost of the labs you receive from Evolve because they are focused on measuring specific markers related to your hormone levels and metabolic functions. Often, patients seek reimbursement through their Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts.
